My Cutting Files

Hello Everyone...after much thought I have decided once again to share my cutting files with you all....If you are interested there is a link at the top of my blog underneath the header which will take you to my download site for the files.....Please be aware...while browsing through my previous blogposts... when you find a file you like.....the link for that image is broken...you will need to go to the link at the top of my blog to do a search for the file to download....as it is too time consuming to go through each and every post and correct the links for the files. I trust you will all understand this.
I too, will again offer the entire collection for purchase on DVD if anyone would be interested...you will find the option for that in my store....As I create new files they will be complied on a DVD in the future for those who prefer to combine that way.

Hoping You had a Merry Christmas.....

Hello Everyone!!!  Hope this post finds you all well......WOWZERS can you believe Christmas time is here and gone!! This has been one fast year....but one I must admit I'm more than ready to say "Adios" to...LOL

I am determined to make 2016 my year to have a creative comeback!!! I'm so sick of being in a creative funk....I'm putting my focus in ART and what I enjoy for my soul!!!  If any of you know of any good ARTing communities out there EXCEPT Facebook....I would love it if you would leave a comment and let me know what they are......I'm really wanting to get involved in swapping and creative communities again....but they are so hard to find......I am just not a fan of Facebook....as much as I've tried to embrace it and the groups there.....it's just not my thing...I truly feel like it's rather impersonal and you really can't appreciate the love and efforts one puts into their creations by scrolling through just images......That's why I've decided to move away from Facebook and put more attention back to my blog and other's blogs.....I miss the bonding of fellow ARTists and enjoying their process of creations with them.....

So...having had my little rant...LOL I thought I would share with you what I've created as of late.....I had a request for some Christmas Tags.......so I happily took up the challenge.....I just have to tell you....that since I've gotten my huge monitor I HAVE been able to create files again and do the detail work I truly enjoy......and have special readers made specifically for my close up detail work....my Optomitrist calls them Occupational Readers...where they are designed for a specific  function.....they have 3 strengths built into them specific for the distances I work in my ART...and while the lines are a nusiance they really seem to be helping...using them in conjunction with my contacts of course....so I am truly thankful!!!!  It's nice to have a doctor that listens to ones needs...you know!!  I'm blessed and thankful!!!

So...back to my special order.......They left all the designs of their wants up to me....they said they enjoy seeing what I come up with...which of course made me feel great!! ;)  I have to tell you now.....through making these tags I have fallen completely in love with my Foil Master AND Silver Bullet all over again.......these are both sweet pieces of machinery that I am so happy I don't have to live without.......So here we go....

This first tag I had in my thoughts for a while......almost immediately after I got the order....and mulled on it for a few days......I'm thrilled with how it turned out and it was a huge hit!!! Check it out....

I did the print and cut technique for the phrase....I stamped it off...then scanned the image I had stamped and traced in SCAL4Pro....then I printed off using my Mono Laser printer so I could then foil it with my Foil Master......foiled beautifully!!!!  I then distressed the edges with some of my distress ink pads......

For the wreath I cut out branches and vines using printer paper thickness colored paper...approximately 20# paper....then colored more green families with my spray inks....love the different hues of greens I ended with....

For the "sky" background of the window scene I started with white cardstock....then used several different snowflakes stamps I have and stamped in clear embossing ink...then sprinkled clear embossing powder and heat set.....then used 2 different colors of blue distress inks to color the background and make the snowflakes pop.......

I used foam tape between the layers of the background and the birch tree layer....then between the birch tree layer and the window payne layer...to give some depth to the tag so when I used some of my chunky glitter as "snow" you could it shake between the layers.....worked beautifully and gave the tag the perfect depth.....

for the ornaments on the wreath these are some berries I had on other artificial flowers I had taken apart several years ago.....

They ended up truly loving this and got a kick out of shaking it and seein the "snow" moving around...It was a lot of FUN to make....

I know Christmas has passed...but still thought I would share the files with you in case anyone might be interested and perhaps get a head start on next year!!! LOL

Okie Dokie....On we go.....this next tag I had a lot of fun with as well.....I knew I wanted to do with with depth to the scene.....and my vision came through perfectly......check it out....

I printed the song image onto black cardstock using my black toner printer using the highest settings available for that printer.  You couldn't see the font well...but you know it's there....Then I took my foil and placed the paper with my foil face up on top of the paper into a sleeve and placed into my Foil Master.

Once Foiled I took a white tag base I had cut out (because) it was easer to stamp the to/from on a white back and it also gave the tag more stability) and I glued the tag to the backside of the foiled paper and then cut the black foiled paper to the shape of that tag.

I sat that aside and began working on the Nativity layers.  I cut one of each layer in 110# Recollections white cardstock.  Once cut I hit the top edges of each layer with Pumice Stone distress ink with my applicator...then ran some tacky glue along those same edges and used glitter over the tacky glue...sat aside and allowed to dry.

While waiting on the layers to dry I then printed...again using my laser printer and printed the phrase "Oh Holy Night" onto a tag cut file I have and did the print and cut technique again...went ahead and
cut them out then did the foiling.....Just the perfect pop to the words!!!!

To adhere the different layers I used foam tape between each layer...gives a nice height and depth to the card and  gives the affect I was looking for....

This tag really has a stunning impact to it and it as well was a huge hit......I did create the entire phrase background...so it is included in the cutting file as well as I'm sharing just that file itself for those who may just want that......

On we go....This next tag I have totally flipped over myself!!!!!  It is beyond gorgeous in my opinion and I used ALOT of foiling in this design.......I took my stamps....stamped them out....then scanned them and did the print and cut technique with my laser mono printer to enable me to foil these....so I do not have a file to share with you for this....but perhaps it can still give you inspiration......to me this was a true labor of love and SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth the efforts....Check it out...

Isn't it stunning?????  The sparkle is UNBELIEVBLY GORGEOUS!!!!  And I think the gold bow just sets it off......LOVE this and know I will do more in the future!!!!

So now my last tag....was so much fun.....and very festive.....I love the individual detail of each branch I did.....and AGAIN I foiled the branches.......I told you...I have fallen in love with my Foil Master AND Silver Bullet all over again...wasn't fibbin' was I?  So check this one out...

Not sure if you recognize them or not.....but notice the ornaments on the trees???  You know what those are...right???  Remember SEVERAL years ago I did a blogpost on making my own glue dots???  Well these are some of those glue dots I made eons ago.....never really used them much...but they were PERFECT for these tags....gave the perfect amount of bling I thought....

Also....the "garland" on the trees...well it was actually some red twisted rope I had on hand....I took them...unwound them to give me 3 small strands......then I took the strands.....coated them in glue and then rolled them in some tinsel glitter....worked perfectly and really gives the look and feel of the tinsel garland you buy for your Christmas trees.....

Needless to say....I had  a BLAST using glitter this year...LOL  I'm still finding glitter over everything in my ARTHaven....but that's ok....at least I have a bit of a sparkle to me!!! HAHA....

Ok...for any of those who might be interested I'm also sharing the file I created for this tree tag as well......

So....Those are the  tags I created...and have to say I'm quite tickled with how they all turned out......and more importantly...the person who ordered them was totally thrilled!!! So it was a win win all the way around...and it feel amazing to play with paper again!!! So for the next 2 days and my 4 day weekend next week....I plan on spending it here in my ARTHaven.....playing playing and playing some more!!!!! AND...btw...making my around to so many of my favorite blogs I've missed......

I want to THANK each and everyone one of you for taking time out of your day to stop by and visit with me.....It means so much more to me then you'll ever understand....and I truly am looking forward to a year of creative excitement!!!!  I hope you all are enjoying your creative muse as well.....I would like to wish each and everyone one of you a very Blessed and Happy New Year!!!!  May your family be well and full of love!!!!!  Please come by again...Until next time....
