Happy Monday to you....

I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful weekend!!! Though it was a bit cool here I can't complain....it was nice and sunny and we didn't have snow....so that's a good thing....AND I actually spent some time in my ARTHaven.....my favorite place to be!!! AND I even created a couple of cards......thought I would share them with you......

First...however....I wanted to share with you this AMAZING tool I purchased last week...and it arrived last Thursday...and I tried it out this weekend....What is it you ask???  Well let me tell you...it's the MISTI (Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented) .....
DSC_0484
I am NOT associated with them in any manner....I saw this tool on Jennifer McGuire's Youtube videos and instantly feel in love with it and ordered it promptly!!!!  I received fast service and it is very good quality!!!  I have always collected stamps but not used them much....well let me just say this thing makes me want to play with stamps.....it's awesome!!! And as everyone has said...it makes it SO easy to make duplicate cards with ease!!!!  I'm so tickled someone created this tool and it's truly worth every penny!!!!

Ok....sorry...Just had to share that....I was super super impressed with it!!!  But I had alot of fun playing this weekend......this first card I did I can't say that I really like it....but I don't hate it.....so I kept it...LOL  Ever have any of those??? LOL

One thing I did like about the card was the fence...LOL  I used a banner border I had and inverted it.....stamped in Gather Twigs (LOVE this color btw).....and then decided it needed more "texture" so I took my Picket Fence distress marker and applied it to the stamp and restamped it.......I like how it really pulled out the grains of the wood.....I then used a wood plank border stamp and repeated the stamping process......I think that's why I kept it cause I really like how the fence turned out.....

This next card I really like......I think it's because of the flower......I think the flower pops off the card.....I colored using Spectrum Noir Markers and distressed the edges with Gathered Twigs...and I used the Scan and Cut with SCAL4 and my Silver Bullet Profession Cutter.....to cut out the flower after I had stamped it......

Okie dokie....on we go.....this next card I did in an aperature way.......and I can see making more of these....I think it has a nice impact.......I created with my Silver Bullet Professional Cutter....Just love love love this machine I tell ya!!!

Now this card....I will have to say is my FAVORITE of the 4 I've shared today........I just love how it turned out.......

I used one of the flower stamps sets from Heartfelt Creations....I just love their flower stamps....I stamped on vellum with white pigment ink then embossed with white embossing powder...cut them...these I cut out by hand......will either do a scan and cut next time or maybe get their die...haven't decided yet....but I know I love their flowers.....used of my Shaplie files and stamped the phrase on it and layered with a size of of the same Shaplie file.....I love how the ribbon makes the card pop and the bling I added to it.....I colored the flowers with my distress inks and an applicator sponge.....gives such a nice soft and elegant look I think.....I hope you can see why this one is my favorite...... ;)

Now...before I go I have a file to share with you.....over on the SCAL Users Yahoo group someone was looking for a french fry box.....all the links she could find online were not longer valid....so I went ahead and worked up a new one for her and thought I would share it here in case anyone might be interesed in it......

Okie Dokie Artichokie......that does it for me for today...Sure hope you like what I shared....I...as always...want to THANK YOU so much for stopping by.....I truly appreciate it and I hope you will come by again to visit...I wish you all a very blessed week....until then.....

Long time....no post....

Hello Hello Everyone!! WOW.....where does the time go......it just amazes me how fast the days roll by........I was on vacation 2 weeks ago and had alot of fun spending the week in my ARTHaven....had full intention of sharing all the fun that I had created while off and the time got away from me......so I thought I would sit down and get caught up...... ;)

This past vacation was probably one of my most fun one's of all time!!! I got really friendly with my embroidery machine........thanks for my wonderful children who were more than happy to give mom ideas of things to work on to learn my machine!! LOL

I decided I wanted to work up a special shirt for both of my granddaughters.......Bree and "Tator Tot" .....love these girls to the moon and back.......Bree is a preteen and I knew she didn't really want "cutsie" so I found this camoflauge tank top and decided to put a monogram on it for her.....

She was absolutely thrilled with it and has already worn it several times!!!  Makes this Nana Innie SO PROUD!!! ;)

So then I got brave and really stretched my creativity......and I designed something a bit more involved for my "Tator Tot".......the theme of her room is owls.....so I took that idea and went with it......Hubby and I are called her Grand Popz and Nana....AWESOME titles don't ya think!! ;)  So here's what I designed for her.....

It fit Tator Tot perfectly and her mom LOVED it!!!!  So they were both a HUGE success!!!

Then my DIL had brought a bunch of her shirts over for me to use to "test" out monograms on......so I worked up several different designs and stitched them onto her tops......here's how they turned out...

Whew.......that was alot huh!!! LOL  But she really did love how they all turned out...and I know I was so glad to have them all done!!! ;)

Sooooooooooooo....after I had all those done I wanted to do something for my future DIL (my youngest son's fiance)......she LOVES elephants........and I wanted it to be something super special....so here's what I came up with.....

Didn't it turn out SUPER CUTE!!!!  She absolutely LOVED it....made me so happy happy happy!!!

I have to say I've fallen in love with my embroidery machine and have gotten rather good at making embroidery files......so I decided to start making them and listing them on My ETSY Store......So I figured why not start out with the files I created to make all the above designs.......So if you find something you might like I would love for you to visit my store......

OMGoodness....Are you still here????  Lots of files huh.....LOL  Sorry about that.....but I wanted to be sure to get the new ones I've recently listed in my store....will be making lots more.....so if you love using embroidery files....I would love for you to check back......

NOW.......on to paper!!! Believe it or not I actually played some with that as well......Thought I would share some little things I did accomplish....I joined an ATC in the ATT Yahoo Group......and love how it turned out.....Here's the background I started out with......this is a Prima page.....love it just as it is.....but wanted to start using my stamps more......so I went to town....

Here's what I came out with once I finsihed stamping, distressing and blending.... ;)

For the birds on the branch I stamped it out then used the Scan and Cut Technique with my Silver Bullet Professional cutter and SCAL4......works SO awesome!!!  Then I decided to also cut a few layers of chipboard and make the base of the birds thicker.......

My Silver Bullet Professional cutter does such a wonderful job cutting chipboard!!! I really do like how this ATC turned out....used all kinds of craft goodness in supplies....and it felt great to get inky again......So I played a bit more and created a card.......had ALOT of fun with this one!!!!!

I did the resist type of technique with a leaf stamp......and then the same for the Friends Forever stamp.... Used Distress Inks and some twine and VOILA.....all done....I love how this turned out as well.......

WHEW!!!! Are you still here????? I'm FINALLY done!!! LOL ...So sorry for the loooooonnnnnggggg post...but I wanted to get all caught up!!!!  I sure hope you might like what you saw...and I want to THANK YOU so much for stopping by to visit with me.......Means way more then you know!!!  I do hope you'll stop by again.......until then....I wish you a very blessed week!!

Brandon has done it again!!!!! SCAL4 Gets Better....and Better!!!

You know...I just can't say enough awesomeness about Brandon!!!! Not only has he given us such new awesome techniques....seems he's given us yet ANOTHER!!! I received an email from Sandra....her YouTube Profile is CreateSpain....she too owns a Silver Bullet...but this works with whatever cutter you have.....and she's been working with Brandon on an AWESOME AWESOME feature.......and she emailed me this morning to share a video she's done demoing the feature........and I tried it....WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!! I'm SUPER excited........It's SCAN AND CUT!!!!
You can take any image....whether it be a pic from a magazine......a stamped image on a scrap piece of paper...whatever you're wanting to cut out......and use the Scan and Cut feature Brandon has added into SCAL4 and cut it out!!! And it's SPOT ON just like the print and cut is!!!! I'm BEYOND excited!!! AS I'm trying to get back into stamping and this makes it PERFECT!!! That way I if I want to do a collage of stamps together.....then cut all that out at one time...and say I would only use this collection together one time...I can do this and be done....
Anyway...Sandra has done a video explaining how it works...as well as a blogpost sharing detailed information....You MUST check it out......IF you've been thinking whether you want to upgrade to SCAL4 or not....this is yet another addition that makes it even more inticing!!!!!
And here's her blog....
UPDATE:  You'll notice on Sandra's blog she has made a grid for you to cut out to mark your registration marks quickly......It's AWESOME....but I noticed it's in CM.......for us in the US most of us use INCHES.....So I worked up one in INCHES at 1/2" increments.......if you would like to have that file you can find it here.....

THANKS SO SO MUCH Sandra for doing this!!! THANK YOU BRANDON....for being YOU and all your awesomeness!!!!  OK....back to your regular day!!! I was just thrilled when I heard this...tried it out for myself and just HAD to share it as soon as possible to helpe spread the word!!!!!  I hope you are all having a very blessed day!!!

OMG!!! Hard Work....But SO Rewarding!!!

Hey Hey Everyone!!! Sure hope you're having a wonderful start to your week!!!  So I actually spent the better part of a weekend in my ARTHaven and I enjoyed it!! I had been trying to get myself motiviated to start using my acrylic/rubber stamps more.....I had them neatly stored.....in their original sets I purchased them in.....by company and it looked so nice.....BUT....they NEVER get used.......I knew I didn't want to give up on them.....so my wheels started turning on what I could do to have them more available for me to know exactly what I have.....

Well.....I have to first say I just love this lady!!! She is so super sweet and generous to share her experiences and knowledge over the years....I knew I had watched her video about storage years back....but went back to watch again...and just knew this was the direction I wanted to go.....

Isn't Lindsay just awesome!!! And she always has such a warm and inviting smile on her face!!!!  I KNOW you already know this....but here's her blog if you didn't already know it.....

So I started on the looooonnnnngggggg task of working on all my stamps......I just didn't realize I had as many as I did....which again enforces the idea of WHY I needed to do something!! LOL  Let me just say...when you keep them all neat in packages as you purchase them...it really doesn't seem like that much....but wowzers...once you start getting them into a position where you actually would utilize them...they seem to explode!!! LOL  I started the sorting and cutting apart around Tuesday of last week.....and finally finished filing away yesterday afternoon.......here's how my new stamp storage solution turned out.....

I know it takes up alot more space...but I LOVE the idea of having each stamp in it's own sleeve.....easier to flip through...pull out and to put back....and SEE...so for me it was all worth it....I was so proud of myself when I got it all done......in doing all this I found that the baseball card sleeves or the business card sleeves were the perfect solution for the sheets to use......on a few occasions I did utilize some of the 4x6 photo pages.......but I didn't end up using too many of those.....

Now if you wanted to keep your sets together the 4x6  Photo pages work great to store the sets that way......I decided for me.....the solution I did is perfect for me!!! ;)  Thanks again Lindsay for such an awesome idea!!!

So....THEN I decided after having all that hard work done and behind me...I wanted to benefit from it some.......I have been watching lots of YouTube videos as of late....trying to get the mojo into full gear.....came across a video from an idea I had seen years ago.....and it intriqued my interest again....so I felt like this was the best time to play with the idea......We all love to have ideas to use dryer sheets for don't we???....LOL

Here's the video I watched that reminded me of this idea.........so you will know who the kudos go to!! ;)

And now here's the card I made...........

Such a pretty card for a simple idea huh!!!!!!  I LOVE how these turned out and know I will be making more and more of these.....used 3 stamps in this card/envie set and had a blast!!!!!  Thanks so much Diane for the video!!!!  She also has a blog.....you can find her here.....

Okie dokie!!!! Guess that catches me up for now!!!! Just wanted to share with you the FUN I had over the weekend!!!!   Can't wait to get home from work so I can play some more!!!!  I want to THANK YOU so much for stopping by to visit with me!!!  Hope you enjoyed my card...and perhaps got some ideas for yourself......I do hope you will stop by and visit with me again....I wish you all a very blessed week!!! Until next time.....
