My Cutting Files

Hello Everyone...after much thought I have decided once again to share my cutting files with you all....If you are interested there is a link at the top of my blog underneath the header which will take you to my download site for the files.....Please be aware...while browsing through my previous blogposts... when you find a file you like.....the link for that image is broken...you will need to go to the link at the top of my blog to do a search for the file to download....as it is too time consuming to go through each and every post and correct the links for the files. I trust you will all understand this.
I too, will again offer the entire collection for purchase on DVD if anyone would be interested...you will find the option for that in my store....As I create new files they will be complied on a DVD in the future for those who prefer to combine that way.

Happy and Safe Monday to Everyone….

Hey!!! Hope you all enjoyed a happy and safe weekend…..WOWZERS we got a winter storm on Friday…..leaving behind a good 1” of ice and sleet then a good 6”’s of snow on top of all that…..it has been slick slidding around here and brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr SO cold!!!!
So what best to do over a cold weekend when your snug inside???….Well…play in my ARTHaven of course!!! How about that!!  I actually was able to get creative for a change….needed to get some Christmas  tags made up so I decided this was the perfect time to work on them……
I snagged a GREAT deal on a software program the other day…..called Craft ARTist Pro 2
CraftArtist 2 Professional

…….It’s a scrapbooking program  that is also geared to Mixed Media ART…….and I gotta say they have a FANTASTIC collection of “How to” videos they’ve put a lot of hard work into creating…….and I spent a good week watching them all…I have to tell you….they did a wonderful job of making me feel comfortable using the software…..

One key thing I have been searching for for a long time is a program that will work nicely with SCAL3 and my Silver Bullet Professional Cutter and I’m SO EXCITED to say this does!!!!  It enables me to work up my Print and Cut designs SO EASILY and I get spot on PERFECT cuts!!!!  This has me so tickled because I truly enjoy using this technique and now will be doing even more of it!!!!!

One thing that is SO IMPORTANT with those of us who love the Print & Cut Technique needed to totally understand the best solution to achieve the “cut layer” we need for whatever item it is we’re wanting to cut…..And Terri Mouw has done a PHENOMINAL job explaining exactly how to do this……..and it works like a charm each and every time…..She did a 2 part video of them so I’m sharing HER videos here so you can see for yourself……You will LOVE how easy it is because you’re not restricted to the detail of your design…..and I can say that I did NOT simplify my paths of the cut layers after importing into SCAL3 Pro I left just as they were and my Silver Bullet Professional Cutter handled them like a charm……

See how EASY it is to do……..I am LOVING it…..so I got to work on creating my tags after I got comfortable with the program…….the first three tags I’ll be sharing I’m sorry today I can not tell you the original creator of the digi kits I used…there are images I’ve collected over the years so and I had been storing them by category on my computer not designer……so I can’t give them due credit but the last one I can as I just purchased it over the weekend and am starting to keep my digi kits in the ARTists folder who created them…..so here’s my first design I worked up…..

I took the stocking and used a bottom layer and a top layer….used Aileens Tack it Over and Over Glue on the white part of the stocking…then coated with Tim Holtz’s Distress Rock Candy Dry Glitter…..I also used 2 red and clear glitter on the candy cane…..using more of the Aileens Tack it Over and Over….I have found a new love for this glue as it makes it SO easy to add glitter exactly where I want it…..I used clear glitter on the peppermint candy sucker and on the red part of it I used Glossy Accents…..on the Gingerbread Man, the Ginger Cookie and the bear’s face I used some of my Viva Pearl Pens…..so they would have a dimensional texture to them…..distressed all the edges of all my pieces with Walnut Stain Distress Ink with sponge…shock shock right!!! LOL  And used some of the Viva Pearl Pen in brown on the stocking…..I created this into a tag and stamped on the inside the … To: and From:  used foam squares to give the stocking depth of the items inside……added an eyelet for the ribbon to go through and it’s done!!! Isn’t it cute!!!

This next card is one of my favorites to…it was fun to work up….

On the Christmas Tree I used Glossy Accents to add the green glitter in parts of the tree…used Glossy Accents for the lights on the tree…..used Viva Pearl Pens for the snow on the ivey on the candles….distress everything with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and foam applicator…..used foam squares to lift the elements for different heights….used an eyelet to thread the ribbon on making it into a tag then adding the stamped phrase on a scrap piece of decorative paper and heat embossed…..love the sparkle of this tag…..

So next we have one that I think turned out super cute!!!!

Not sure if you can see it but I tried to make it so the scroll Santa is reading has the feel of the curve of the paper but using foam squares at the bottom and gluing directly down at the top where Santa is holding it….I used Aileen’s Take it Over and Over glue to add Tim Holtz Distress Dry Glitter in Rock Candy to Santa’s hat, pom pom and his coat….then used the ATOO glue to add flocking to his beard and hair……gives it the perfect subtle look to it….on the “Merry Christmas” tag I coated the entire piece with Glossy Accents and love the look it gives….of course distressed everything with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a Foam applicator….and foam squares to give things different levels of depth……..used an eyelet to use ribbon on the tag……
Now my last tag…… I CAN tell you that I purchased the kit of images to create this tag from an awesome designer who has an ETSY store called Optic Illusions
She really creates some GORGEOUS kits….and I will definitely be visiting her store again…and she is super sweet and honest of top of it!!!!  Check her site out if you enjoy using graphics in your ART!!!!
But I used her “Magic of Christmas” Digital Kit….to create this tag…..

I printed the snowflake ornament out with my Brother Mono Laser Printer and used my Foil Master to foil the gorgeous pink foil on to this ornament…Isn’t it GORGEOUS!!!  Used the holly leaves and the poinsetta flower in multiple layers and distressed with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and then more of the ATOO glue and added fine detail glitter……and some stamens in the middle…..added glitter around the bottom layer of the tag……and used an eyelet to add the pink ribbon…..Don’t you think this tag is stunning!! I LOVE it…..
So here’s all 4 of the tag designs I made up yesterday…and Saturday…took me 2 days to complete 15 tags…LOL

I’m thrilled with all of them…and really hope they might make you smile as well!!!!  So…that does it for me today…..THANK YOU all so much for stopping by to visit with me!!!!!  I as always….want to wish you all a VERY blessed week!!!!  I do hope you will come by to visit again!!!!  Until then…
