Happy Sunday......a long post....

Hey Everyone.......I hope you've all enjoyed a WONDERFUL weekend!!! Mine was alot of FUN spent in my ARTHaven.......just seems to make the weekend fly by!!!!

So I have gotten rejuvenated on creating files again and must admit it feels great!!! Didn't realize how much I missed it.......but I wanted to work up samples to show to give you an idea of my vision.......then at the same time sampling some AWESOME papers from The Paper Temptress.......Have you ever used any of her papers??? If not...WOW you're missing out........I used them with my Silver Bullet Professional Cutter....and let me just say...it's a match made for each other!!!! ;)

So I thought I would show you my pieces I created....try to explain the papers I used and then offer you the files for a free download for a period of time.........so here we go........

The first one is pretty basic....but elegant at the same time.....I really think it's pretty......in a soft way......
Isn't this beautiful??!!......I used 2 papers from The Paper Temptress..........they are Laser Silver Lustre & Marble White Vellum .........it was like cutting through butter with these papers and my cutter......Isn't the Laser Silver Lustre GORGEOUS.....It's so very pretty.......on the Marble White Vellum...after using my Copic .5 marker with my That's Scrap Pen Holder I then ran the Marble White Vellum through a TH Brick Embossing Folder with my Sizzix Big Kick......and then ink distressed with Vintage Photo......the back layer of the of the tag I used scrapbook paper......in a floral pattern.....the rose is one of my PDC Grungy Roses......Didn't realize it until after I had taken the photos that my kitty had layerd on the tag and smooshed my rose a bit....arrrrrgggghhhhhhh!!! ;)  Added a button that I colored with my Dick Blick Alcohol Markers and then added some tear drop rhinestones that were blue and I colored with a Dick Blick Alcohol Marker to make them the color I needed.....

I hope you can see this WONDERFUL detail of the very thin cut on this piece........My Silver Bullet Professional Cutter cut this intricate detail on a Velocity of 700 and didn't miss a beat!!!!

So.....If any of you "might" be interested in this file while I have it for a free download...you can find it here....

So......Now I thought I would show you the next tag I came up with.......this was FUN to make both drawing and creating......it's "different" for sure....but I really had fun with it.....

This tag I used 3 different types of papers from The Paper Temptress....Creme Velvet Touch (on the Shawl piece), Ruche (on the leaves) and ivory Feltrweave (on the inside layer).....These papers were SUCH a dream to work with......the Creme Velvet Touch has such an AWESOME feel to it.....it really does feel like velvet....and WOWzers........the Silver Bullet Pro Cutter LOVED this paper....it glided through it with no problem at all......after I cut out the shawl I then ran it through a leave embossing folder I had....I believe it was the Hobby Lobby brand of embossing folder....it took a really good deep impression......then I put some veins in the leaves with a Sharpie pen in a very pale tan......then hit the shawl with  Scattered Straw and Barn Door Distress Inks....then I ran it through a 2nd embossing folder...the TH Brick Pattern and then it it with the Vintage Photo Distress Ink Pad....this paper LOVES the distress inks...

This inner liner of the tag I used Ivory Feltrweave paper.....I used again...my Copic .5 pen to draw the phrase using the Pen Tool with my Silver Bullet Pro Cutter ......both from That's Scrap Inc.....once it was drawn using SCAL3 software....I then cut the liner out and then hit the edges with Barn Door, Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo Distress Inks....and then ran through the TH Brick Embossing Sleeve then hit the piece with Vintage Photo Distress Ink........I also used the same colors around the edges of the bottom layer of the tag....which was cur from decorative floral scrapbook paper.....

Now...these leaves....don't they look terrific!!!  I used the Ruche paper in a tan color.....then used some Glami in Dirty Martini, Organic Garden, Copper Kettle & Hay Ride to color the leaves then dried with my heat gun........they cut AWESOMELY with My Silver Bullet Pro.........check out the very thin stems on the leaves.......

These are more of my PDC Grungy Roses that I added to the tag....these roses are approx .75"

Then I added ribbon and some metal pieces to finish out the tag..........

I hope you like this tag/shawl piece....I LOVE how it turned out and have it displayed on the shelf in my ARTHaven......

So....IF any of you "might" be interested in this file while I'm offering it for free....you can find it here....

And now....I have just one more tag to show you.......I might say I think this is my most favorite one....I tried to make this a bit different.........

Isn't it GORGEOUS??????   I had ALOT ALOT ALOT of FUN on this piece!!!!!!  for the papers I did a Print and Cut Technique with SCAL3 and my Silver Bullet Pro Cutter....using some of the Paper TemptressCryogen White  thick cardstock........has a bit of glisten in the stock and it took the printing with my color laser printer SO WELL!!!!  and the Print & Cut Technique using the SCAL3 software did a WONDERFUL job....cut like butter just as all the papers from the Paper Temptress did....

The inside pieces of the tag I used a Sharpie with my Pen Holder from That's Scrap Inc with my Silver Bullet Pro Cutter to draw the phrases.......just LOVE doing this.......as the Silver Bullet draws the words so smoothly......the paper I drew the phrases on and then cut out is White Grandee........the texture of this paper is so pretty.......and very sturdy.....

Isn't it COOL how I stepped this tag.......thought it made it kind of special.......I hit the edges of all of the layers with Vintage Photo Distress Ink......added the twine as a tie off into a bow and then glued a button to it......

This rose...again...is one of my PDC Grungy Roses......I really think this was one of my favorites to make......I cut 2 pieces of the bottom two pieces so I could do them back to back.....you would want to remember to mirror one of them so they line up perfectly.....Hope that makes sense.....

So.....do you lke this?????

So.....................DID you make it??????????  I know it was long...but I was really excited about sharing with you that I had created something........I so hope my mojo is here to stay because I'm really having such a fun time with my Silver Bullet Pro Cutter.......It is such an amazing machine and so fun to use!!!!

I as always...want to THANK YOU so much for visiting with me....I really hope you've found something here you might like.......and I hope you'll come by again....I do wish you all a VERY blessed week ahead!!! Until next time...

  1. Penny, great creations. I can see that you love creating :-)

I especially enjoyed seeing the hearts tag wrap. How did you connected the inside pieces? can you show us?

Also - if you get a chance I would love to see a video of how you use the pen holder with a sharpie. I am interested in learning how to do this as well.

Thanks again for your generosity and have a great week.

  32. All absolutely beautiful as always, Penny. It's nice to see your new leaf designs in use too. The tag shawl is a lovely idea, giving a gorgeous layered effect to a tag. The whole effect is rich, and luxurious - beyond lush! Fabulous colours too - really muted and subtle. I love the use of the grungey rose for this look. So good to see so many of your designs coming together into a complete unit that is uniquely you! I hope your mojo NEVER leaves you - we'd all be the poorer if it did!

  33. Hi Penny

Beautiful work here as usual. I had to chuckle about your rose when you said your cat sat on it. I have the same problem, but have a naughty Shih Tzu who also joins in and runs off with all sorts of things!!!! Anyway - it still looked stunning, and remember, nothing in mother nature is uniform - the perfection is in the imperfection - and at least it didn't have cat hairs on. My black cat leaves black hairs all over my projects. So does my mums dog for that matter so I've stopped her coming into my conservatory!

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to download your files. I hope that I can have half as much fun as you always seem to have, when I next craft.

    Big crafty hugs
