Hey all my AMAZING cyber friends!!!! I just had to stop in and tell you I have been TRULY humbled….I know it’s been almost a month….will be this Friday….since my last post…….got my new ARTHaven Spot all set up and then wham….my mojo packed up and moved out….went on an extended vacation…….It has been such a struggle getting it going again……
So I begin to think…..well it’s no big deal….no one really misses me anyway…there are SO MANY talented and gifted ARTists out there…they won’t miss my posts and shares……and begin to wonder…..do I really need to continue my blog…..does it REALLY make a difference…..does anyone really care????? Now I’m not saying this for pity at all……so please don’t think that for one moment….
But…during the last couple of days I have been totally overwhelmed and humbled by the outreach of love and concern for so many of you checking in on me to see if I’m ok……..It has truly brought tears to my eyes!!!! Some of you have shared with me the struggles you are going through and challenges you are overcoming and I can’t tell you how much it means to me…..and it really has opened my eyes and heart to know that we have a community of AMAZING “FRIENDS” in our ART world and I’m SO HONORED to be a part of it!!!! THANK YOU ALL from the bottom of my heart for letting me know I’ve been missed!!! It has truly humbled me and I PROMISE to get my bootie in gear and force that mojo back home!!!!!! So I can start enjoying my little ARTHaven Spot that I have now tweeked every inch of so I can enjoy playing!!!! So I’m making a commitment to myself and all of you to share SOMETHING by the end of this coming weekend!!!!! See, now I’m made a promise I MUST keep it!!!!!
Again…THANK YOU ALL for the immense amount of love I have received from you!!!!! I’ve truly missed you and look forward to getting active again!!!! I pray you all have a VERY blessed Thursday!!!! Talk with you soon so I hope you’ll come back by!!! Until then….
I missed you Penny!! : ) Glad you got your ARTHaven spot all set up!!!

ReplyDeleteI was so impressed with your little corner. I told a few gals about it.
Now I wish I had you here to help with mine. I think sometimes all the goodies we have collected gets in the way of our creative juices. Just thinking----
Hugs Penny and when you post we will be there.
Myrna
I have missed you and your blogs...begin to wonder....I'm glad you didn't announce you was retiring from Art...couldn't take that. Since Christmas come and gone, my mojo has been slow to come back. ReplyDeleteJust seeing all the beautiful works of art you create helps my mojo stay with me. I've always been so inspired at the new techniques you challenge yourself to perfect and perfect your work is. I'm so glad you had a nice vacation and did rest from blogging for a bit.

Oh yes you have definitely been missed everywhere. I think, we´re many, who gets much inspiration from all your stunning work, and who feels we´re missing something, when you´re not posting. I hope, you´ll be just as happy with your new heaven, as I am with my new heaven, that I´ve just got finished, then it can only be good, what you´ll get to show us.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day hun and lots of fun I hope.
Penny, I think I can say that most of us are not here for your files. We are here for the inspiration you provide! You are so creative and come up with such great creations.
ReplyDeleteAs far as your mojo it will be back. There will be something you may see, maybe a color or shape and it will get the juices flowing again. LOL
Penny, your inspiration and talent is awed by all of us, I love looking at your creations and reading your posts. You are a very talented lady and so generous to share you talent with us. I miss you on the SCAL group, but I come here to take a peek at what you have been up to.

I am pleased to see that you are ok. We will all be waiting for you when you decide that it is time to return!:) God bless..
ReplyDeleteYour blog is one of the few I check regularly for inspiration, I did missed you a lot. You are part of MY mojo, I get a lot of inspiration just looking at your artwork, so I need you even if you wouldn't share any of your files!
ReplyDeleteAnd maybe you should just recycle: go to old ideas a try to put a new spin on them, that's usually how I get my mojo started...
Glad to have you back Penny, I can't believe you thought you wouldn't be missed! I think we all go through the lack of MOJO from time to time.
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog. You are extremly talented and I really appreciate you sharing your files with all of us. Wishing you a Happy New Year and many creative ideas....
ReplyDeleteHope to see you back soon, the things you create are an inspiration and the tutorials and files you share so willingly are greatly appreciated.Your personality and spirit come through in your blog and i love checking in with you, dont you dare stop :)
ReplyDeletePenny - it is good to hear from you. I had been checking, almost on a regular basis. We all need, at some time, an opportunity to get our thoughts, discover our mojo again, and get our priorities straightened out, so take the time you need.
ReplyDeletei have checked your blog so many times since your december post that i feel like a stalker. penny, you're a genius and a creative light that shines a path for the rest of us to folllow. i've missed you terribly and so have manymanymany others. welcome back....can't wait to see what your next creation is going to be.
ReplyDeleteYes Penny, YOU MATTER!!! You have shown me what is possible by posting your incredible projects, taught me technique through your videos, and encouraged me to try it myself by sharing your files. Your generosity has made me a better crafter. You are an inspration, and I look forward to each new post. I'm glad you're feeling like giving your newly designed ArtHaven a workout this weekend. Have fun with it!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Elizabeth
Hi Penny its good to see you posting again, was wondering what had happened to you, thought it was the holiday season keeping you busy, all the best for 2012 and hope to see more of your lovely inspiring ideas and wonderful posts xxx
ReplyDeleteHey Penny - I can't speak for others but I can say I do know how you feel. I don't make that many cards and when I have gone for a long time, I wonder if anyone will care to log on!! Oh well, just pick up the pieces and keep on trucking cause as you can tell - a lot of people care. I do know that looking at other people's work and making my cards is great therapy and I would not want to have to do without it.
ReplyDeleteHere's to a new year sugar!!
sandy
Penny, you should never question if anyone will miss you if you weren't blogging - with everything we all have going on, it might take us a while to let you know it, but I for one would miss you more than any blog I know of. I've lost my mojo after moving with all the extra pain that came with moving and I just can't seem to get it back. Hope you can tell me your secret when you get your back. Hope 2012 is a wonderful year for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI am always so excited when I see your name pop up in Google reader and it is the first one open for the day. You are really the best. Thank you for all you do and all the happiness you spread!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo very happy to see you back. I've missed you. We all get in a slump sooner or later but know that we really do care about you and want to know that you are ok.
ReplyDeleteYes I have been checking, every so often. And no Penny???? I so enjoy your blog. I have recently
ReplyDeletefound this blog and have enjoyed everything. Please Mojo find a way to Penny.....
Have a blessed day!!!!
Then there are those of us who sat quietly by wondering what happened to this lady that I follow so faithfully and even inspired me to buy a Black Cat Foil Master - can't wait to get it. There are many of us that follow silently but your artistry has created my coloring to increase to a level that I am proud to give. Thank you so much for all that you do and may you have a Blessed day.
ReplyDeleteI love your help Penny but it is more when someone is MIA you can't help wondering if they are OK. My mojo departs regularly until I need to get something done. I am not a designer but can alter things if need be so people like you are s Godsend. Thank you for all you do.

Penny I am so glad your coming back and that you are ok. I have been wondering how you were. I know after Christmas it seems we always need a let down spot of time to get back into design and creation. Glad your health is good and your artheaven spot is all ready to go. I still have some cleaning up to do. Then I too will be ready to create again. Gods speed and I look forward to seeing your posts. Cynde
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome Penny!
ReplyDeleteSometimes life can sink its claws a bit to deep. But were all here for you, and Gods always waiting for you to reach out. I get the whole mojo thing, lately I have been crocheting and enjoying it. But then when I make a card it turns out well. :) Breaks are good that why we do vacas. Have a wonderful New Year!

Thank God your ok.i have missed you. I just told my daughters today about your blog.you know, your the greatest.
ReplyDeletePenny, you needn't worry - you are truly missed when you go MIA. Hope you get your mojo back soon! It's always seems to be a pain to get motivated once I've been idle, so you're not alone.
ReplyDeleteI have taken a break for surfing, but just opened my new silhouette and I thought that you would be my inspiration...so glad you have perked up and hope you come back when you are ready! You are so talented girlie!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand where you are coming from. I just figured that with the holidays and all, you have been busy. I actually haven't been checking as often or posting on my blog as often either. We have had some family things going on that are keeping me pretty busy. My husband's cousin went into the hospital on Dec. 17th and passed away on Christmas. Very long and sad story, she went in with end stages of cancer through her whole body, she hasn't seen a doctor for many many years and was only 59. We had to get her Mom into the hospital and are working on getting her into a nursing home. On top of that, my husband is a saint, she had become an animal hoarder and had 10 dogs, 2 pigs, 2 chinchilla and a parrot, all in an upstairs flat of about 600 sq feet. He took care of them all until we could have them fostered and eventually adopted out. I don't know anyone else that could have done that along with everything else that was put onto his plate.
ReplyDeleteThe bright spot is that we took one of the dogs. Molly is an adorable little Shih Tzu and she has already become a huge part of our family.
There has been one problem after another with the friend she named as executor of her estate AND we are seeking guardianship of his aunt too. Such a huge mess, but we are taking it ond day at a time and trusting that God will get us through it all.
I had design team work to do last night, but haven't had any mojo either, but when I sat down last night it just came back and I soooooo enjoyed being able to create again.
Yours is probably back by now too. Can't wait to see what you have created. Just have fun with it!
I am SO happy you are back and I too missed you. You are super talented Penny...this to me is God's way of you sharing his word to others through your awesome artwork and not everyone is blessed with that capability {me included}. God bless you now and always for what you do for others...I know there is a special place in heaven saved just for you. Hugs Penny ♥
ReplyDeleteI am so GLAD you are back. I always enjoy your blog and everything you give away so freely. And your tutorials and advised is so very valued.
ReplyDeleteI truely missed you.
Kathy
There are many of us die-hard Penny fans out here! Glad you are feeling the love! I even have my You Tube account set to notify me if you post a new video! Love and hugs from one of your groupies!
ReplyDeleteI am a new Penny fan lol.. and I am soooo glad that you so many people touched you when you most needed it... what a wonderful way to know that people care about you!!
ReplyDeleteI dont think I have EVER seen so many posts on one blog post!! 53!!! wowow..
I am now 54 :)
Becca
I am glad you are here, Penny! :)
ReplyDeleteNot missed? Are you kidding me? Do you know how many of us check in just to see a fantastic new Penny creation? LOL. Aw Penny, if you disappeared, the crafting community would surely lose one of a kind!! We probably should all start calling your mojo to come back!
ReplyDeleteHopefully I'll be able to check in once we get to Florida. Just found out the Air Force base campground only has WiFi on base at it's library. BUMMER.
Hang in there and God bless.
Penny,
ReplyDeleteWe are all so glad you are doing better! Isn't it great this world we live in where people from all over the world can meet in one place and share their art or ideas. Just take it one day at a time. We understand just give us a Hi every now and than so we know your doing OK.
Sue
all I can say is you were missed and I know the feeling.God bless you for the inspiration you give us!
ReplyDeleteHi Penny,
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you have "checked in" and all is well with you even if you haven't been working on any ART. I must admit that I have truly been concerned about you. Funny how we can worry about people that we haven't really met but feel like we know so well through a blog. I feel like I know you through your ART and reading your wonderful blog. You have been missed this last month. More that wanting to see your work, I just wanted to make sure you were OK.
I do hope your mojo finds you in your new space. Maybe your mojo is still downstairs and hasn't realized you have moved (smile). You might just need to get use to your new space. I get wanting to be with your family. I think many of us feel that way. My space is our home office. As much as I want to be where the family action is, there is something I get from the solitude of being in the office. It kind of feeds me. Of course, I feel guilty when I spend too much time in there. It is a no win situation some days.
Happy New Year Penny! Lots of friends are glad that you are well and we will all be checking in waiting for you to find your mojo. I am sure it will happen very soon. An ARTist like you can't go too long without creating something wonderful.
Have a Wonderful Day!
Kathleen
Are you kidding!??! I was worried. :( You have many more people that would miss you than you know!
ReplyDeletePenny, Yours is the only blog I check every week and has been for a very long time. I sometimes check it more than once or twice.
ReplyDeleteIf I feel sad I just come here to look because I know when I leave I will feel better. I don't believe there is a blog on the internet that even equals yours. There are many great ones but not like yours. You give with a free heart and part of your soul, you don't stop giving. To those of us without your talent you even demonstrate on video so we can get close to what you do. You share your life with us and you share your love of the Lord.
You would be so missed I would have to track you down.
Blessings,
Karen.
Dear Penny! :O)
ReplyDeleteI missed you sooooooooooooo much!
Happy seeing you around here again!
I understand you very well.
But, remember, we all love you !!
Hugsssssssss

So glad your mojo didn't depart permanently, Penny! You'd certainly be missed, big time! I'm a bit out of touch because of being poorly since Christmas, and neglecting my blog - what energy I have had has been going towards trying to get Sheba, my new Black Cat Cougar, up and running! Thank you for introducting me to Google+ which I have just signed up for. So nice to see so many of the old ARTHaven group's familiar names, and hope I will catch up with everyone's news and doings!
ReplyDeleteMy mojo hasn't gone, just my energy lol!
Hugs,
Shoshi x
I subscribe to your blog and love it when you post. because I've not been well and had no energy but at the same time feel like i'm always busy and pre-occupied, I save your posts to a folder on my email account (seeing as that is where I receive your posts)... I've just started to read those I had saved - this being the first (I'd read the previous ones as they came in).
ReplyDeleteNice to have you back... you are missed much more than you realise!
