Hey Everyone and Happy Tuesday to you all……I’m sorry to be gone so long and I hope maybe I was missed a wee bit??!!
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and searching in my heart and made a big decision for me……it’s probably no biggie for most…but was driving me nuts!! LOL I have had my own ARTHaven for years…..in which I spend most all of my ME time……but as of late I’ve been feeling rather isolated back in my room while my hubby and youngest son (17 yr old) hangs out in the living room……..I have SO MUCH “STUFF” in my ARTHaven I began to feel as if my mojo was beginning to get suffocated……It’s then that I FINALLY realized that just because I had just about every creative supply available in my ARTHaven it’s not what gives me the ability to or the desire to want to create……SOOOOOOOOOOOO….I made a huge decision for ME……..I decided to move out of my ARTHaven into a corner of our Living Room so I could be around hubby and son all the time and still be able to create…..
OMG….talk about a J.O.B.!!!! LOL You NEVER realize how much we accumulate until we go to thin out and clear out…LOL I’ve been working since Thanksgiving night on this project…LOL I’m getting closer….I do have my new ARTHaven SPOT set up in the corner of our Living Room and I gotta say….I LOVE IT!!! It has been CONSIDERABLY downsized by probably half in comparison to what I had and it’s like a HUGE WEIGHT has been lifted!!! LOL….Wanna see my NEW ARTHaven SPOT…..
So my aunt…BLESS HER HEART….decided to come “shop” in my thinned out items I plan on clearing out and selling…….the day she left her car was PACKED FULL!!! LOL and I still have a fair amount that will be listed on my ETSY store in time….but I can’t tell you HOW AWESOME it feels!!! It’s like a new excitement to create has been given back to me!!!! I have things right at my fingers and a wonderful atmosphere to create in!!! Of course you can see my 3 bestest creative friends ever!!! LOL….My laptop, my Black Cat LYNX cutter!!!, and my Black Cat Foil Master!!! Gotta love the kitties!!!
Still have to order the tables for Sable as soon as they become available so my mats will run through flat…..for now I have it “rigged”….LOL I plan to do A LOT more digital printing of my papers just as I do my digi images….so did not need near as much space for papers…which in itself is a WONDERFUL space saver!!!
So……since I have this done I actually created a couple of tags….thought I would share them with you real quick as well as the files I created to make these…..they’re simple…..work up very quickly and I think kind of cute……
They were fun to make…..I was trying to come up with some that would work up quickly…….You can see on the round tag I used my Foil Master….I LOVE this machine!!!! I printed my swirlies in black laser toner and then foiled and then used the print and cut technique with my Black Cat “Sable” by using Inkscape/Signcut…..
If you would like to have these 2 files as well as a couple of others….I’m attaching them below….I hope you might like a few of these……

Guess that catches me up for now!!! Hope you might have found something you might like…..As always…THANK YOU so much for stopping by to visit with me….I so hope you will come by again…..I would like to wish you all a VERY Blessed Day!!!! Until next time….

OMG we must be soul sisters..... I've been working on my space for (what seems like) months. Old house, odd spaces/shapes of rooms, etc. As for too much stuff, I've really purged A LOT, yet still have a lot.... but it's getting there.
ReplyDeleteI keep my markers in a carry tote and have several lap desks which I'll use to color in the family room. I also love serving trays (with edges along the sides) so I'll throw supplies into it and carry it into the family room to create. That allows me to be where the action is :-).
Thank you again, for all your awesome freebies.... I'm hoping to have my area/things I need to get done, completed by the new year so I can get back "normal" :-)
hugs
Love your new space and your tags! I too choose to work where the family gathers (well at least were hubby usually is. I like it!

God bless you.I know what you mean about wanting to be with your family. I want to do the same thing....but I want my husband to finish my basement which could hold all my junk and him and his junk(TV)and my living room would be a safe haven for both of us. Thanks for all your wonderful shares.

ReplyDeleteOh wow !!!! Look at the cool new space. Everything right at hand including the family.
ReplyDeleteI recently moved a lot of my stuff out to the dinning room table. We never seem to sit down and eat there anway, and like you, I like being out where my hubby is. It makes it easier for me to seek his opinions on my crafting. He is always so supportive and ready to lend a helping hand if I need it.
Your tags are just awesome and so cheerful. I don't know what this foil thing is you used, but I love how it looks on your tags. Beautiful for sure.
Your talent always amazes me. I tell my hubby that you have more talent in half of your pinky finger than I have in my entire body. I love your blog and your creations, and of course, YOU were missed.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful files with all of us.

Not a day goes by that I don't check to see if you've done another amazing craft. You never, ever disappoint either! Your aunt is one lucky lady! Yes I missed you....Your space is wonderful and so NEAT....always look forward to your postings! Have a great CHRISTMAS.
ReplyDeletePenny - I was wondering what you were up too. That looks great and I know what you mean. So glad that you are doing well and have your mojo back. hugs and blessings dear.
ReplyDeletePenny, I think that's such a lovely idea, to bring your ARTHaven down into the midst of the family so that they can see more of you! They must really appreciate that. It looks a lovely airy space - a lot less claustrophobic, and as your creativity grows and changes, you are able to streamline things a lot more. It's really good!
ReplyDeleteI love the tags you've made, especially the foiling. It's amazing what can be done these days, isn't it!
Hugs, Shoshi
Oh my goodness Penny - you just about made my heart stop - I thought you were about to tell us you were closing up shop. Just for a second it felt like losing a good friend. So so so happy you just moved rooms - mercy me! You must have a very patient husband and son to listen to the sounds of cutters and printers running. Hope you enjoy your new spot - hugs and blessings
ReplyDeleteomg! and i thought i was neat!!!! LOL.

ReplyDeleteHello Penny...popping by to wish you a joyous holiday season and thank you for all the wonderful things you share with us :) I hope 2012 brings all you are wishing for.
ReplyDeleteHugs xx
Penny,
ReplyDeleteIf I had to make my craft stuff fit in that small a space I would have to throw out 90% of it. I have 12 to 15 paper racks alone that are all full and most of these are not in my craft room, lol. I haven't been able to get in there for about 18 months so I took over other rooms.
You did great to get yours down so far so you can be with your family. Where as I can just craft wherever my family is. OK, I need to get rid of most of it so I can see what I own. I can never find what I need.
Blessings,
Karen.
Hoping this comment finds you & yours well & enjoying the lead up to a very blessed Christmas for you all Hope to follow you in the New Year. Cheers from Oz

ReplyDeletePenny, it's been almost a month since your last post. Are you OK?
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thoughts as Linda from Arizona. Are you ok? Miss you.
