Ole’ Christmas Tree….

It’s Monday…..AND Halloween!!!! Happy Halloween Everyone!!! I hope you all have a “Spooktacular Day”!!!!  Can NOT believe tomorrow will be November 1st….WOW is this year flying by!!!!
So I was home all weekend……had planned to get out and do some things but that was changed as I was feeling quite yucky!!! ;(  BUT…Thank GOODNESS I’m feeling MUCH MUCH better today…..Figures….LOL….the day I go back to work!!   Oh….what’s a girl to do….have to continue to make money for the ARTHaven stash right!!!
While home I decided I wanted to start working on some Christmas Tag Ideas……Of course one could use this for other things then just tags….but that’s the way I made these yesterday…….I’m hoping to make several other designs for Christmas……so if you like this one I hope you’ll check back more throughout the month……..But I’m tickled with the way this turned out and wanted to show it to you……

I chose 5 different designs of decorative Christmas papers to cut then interchanged all of them to make the layers of the tree……I cut the layer underneath each layer in the same green…..then a layer of tan….the tree trunk in tan…all with my FAVORITE tool…My Black Cat Lynx….”Sable”.. and then ran through my Go Baby with a wood grain embossing folder then hit with Jumbo Java Chalk ink to give it a woodsy look…….I adhered the tree to a red tag base……..I also use eyelets with my Crop-a-dile to reinforce the holes for the ribbon…..I used foam squares to raise the tree up off the tag base……..I distressed the edges all with Jumbo Java Chalk Ink and I also ran the layers of the tree through my Go Baby with a Merry Christmas embossing sleeve…then hit the raised surface with Jumbo Java Chalk Ink…..(surprise surprise huh….LOL)….
I added a snowflake charm for the star at the top of the tree and clear adhesive rhinestones for the bulbs on the tree…….then used some Stickles in Frosted Lace all around the layers of the tree…..I’m very very happy with the way these turned out and am excited to share these with you…….
So……do you like them????? Wanna make the tree yourself……well…okie dokie then….You can click on the image below and it will take you to My ETSY Store.....

Well….Guess that catches me up for the day….I so hope you like my tag…..As always always…THANK YOU so much for coming by to visit with me!!!!  I’ll have some exciting things to share in the coming couple of weeks….I’ve been asked to demo a few things for some companies so I do hope you’ll check back with me…I really think you’ll like them……So for now…it’s… Hi Ho…Hi Ho…..Off to work I go!!!   I wish you all a VERY blessed day and I’ll chat with you soon….I hope!!!

Just where does the weekend go?????

Isn’t it hard to believe it is Sunday evening again already!!!!  WOW time goes by so quickly when one is having FUN in their ARTHaven!!!! LOL  And I actually created something this weekend!!!! Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh ME!!
Before I show you what I created I first wanted to share an idea with you that I’m sure most of you have already thought of…..but my brain didn’t kick in with it until this morning…….So…yesterday I went to get something out of one of my drawers and one thing led to the next and before I knew it I was doing what my son calls “intentory” LOL…in my ARTHaven and I went through and re-organized each and every drawer in my ARTHaven….and labeled them….felt SO good to do all of that…..and while in that process I dedicated 4 shelves in my ARTHaven to display favorite pieces of ART from fellow ARTists that I’ve received and that inspire me….as well as a shelf to display some of my pieces I’ve made that I’ve actually kept….but this wasn’t my idea I wanted to share……..So what is it you say….get to the point already!!! LOL….OK OK…I will……
So I had at one time removed all the ATC’s I collected over the years from the baseball card sleeve pages I had them stored in because I wanted to put them in a box so I could keep them on a shelf….well while cleaning out I came across them again and decided that I wanted to put them back in pages so I can view them when I want……So I made a trip to Walmart this morning to get more baseball card sleeve pages and lo and behold they don’t carry them anymore…WHAT????!!! How can that be!!!!  They should have KNOWN I was going to need them…LOL…so I immediately begin thinking of what I can do as an alternative…….and it hit me….why not use a photo album…you know the ones that hold 4x6 photos……..I figured this would be a great size because a lot of the ATC’s I have from other ARTists are dimensional and don’t really fit well in the baseball card sleeves….and then some of them are also embellished with items that stick out of the ATC base….well both of these situation are resolved by storing them in the Album……

I’m totally tickled with my solution and wanted to share it with you so incase anyone else might be looking for a better idea…..
Now that this one is full I’m getting ready to start on my 2nd album of ATC’s…and I’ve also decided to get albums so I can display the Tags I’ve received as well as greeting cards I receive from other ARTists…that way I can still display them and keep them neat in the process……..So that’s my little tip for the day!!!!
OH YEAH!!!!! One thing else I wanted to mention…….All you ARTists out there who put all of your love and attention to your creations……..PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember to sign AND date your ART……..It doesn’t sound like a big thing does it….BUT for those of us who truly truly treasure the pieces and save them to look back on through the years to draw inspiration from and admire your ART……It means SO much when we can put a name and a date with the piece of ART!!!!!! After all….YOU took your time and creativity to create the piece…You DESERVE the proper credit!!!!
Now…On to what I created today……..I had a Double Easel Card I needed to make for a swap in my ARTHaven Creations group… the theme is Fall….I really had fun with this card once I decided what I was going to do…….can’t wait for you to see it…..

Isn’t he cute!!!!  So in the process of making the card and envie I made a couple of files…thought I would share them with anyone who might want them…….Also….just so you know the Loopy squares you see are some of my Shaplie files I’ve previously shared…..you can see how versatile they can be cause I made them whatever size I wanted them to be!!!!….I’ve also previously shared the leave files which you can find on my blog or in the appropriate category on the top left of my blog….

Okie Dokie Artichokie!!!! That’s it for me tonight….I think that catches me up…..I sure hope you like what I’ve shared…and perhaps can have a use for the files……As always….always…always….THANK YOU for taking time out of your day to stop by and visit with me….it means WAY more then you know!!!!  I so hope you will come by and visit with me again….and I also wish each of you a very very blessed week!!!

FALL is in the AIR……

Hey Everyone had Happy Sunday to you all!!!! I hope you’ve all enjoyed a WONDERFUL weekend!!! It’s been a beautiful breezy weekend and I’ve had lots of fun in my ARTHaven!!!!
I had a couple of swaps I needed to work on that I’m involved in….in my ARTHaven Creations group……it’s the first time in a while I’ve spent a weekend creating for fun!!!!  I totally enjoyed myself and in the process created a couple of new cut files….”maybe” some will be interested in them……but now I want to show you my creations!!!!!
The first one I fell in love with while making it…..It was a swap based from a purse design Kathy at AquaRaine’s ART Journal has hosted in the group…..we had a rough drawing to go from which then I took and created into a cut file with the extras I wanted to use in the creation of my piece….I was tickled with the way it came out…..

I’m not sure if you can see it here……but I managed to give the backround of the purse a bit of a “shiney leathery” look……quite by accident but was very happy with the results….I had created a lacey overlay and in order to attach it I decided to fun the entire card base through my xyron to make it sticky…..I applied the lacey overlay then it left all of the open spaces  as sticky…so I decided to coat with clear embossing powder and heat emboss…I was very pleased with the results….
I created a magnet closer with this which is why I have the Diva portion on the inside……
Then the next swap I needed to work on was for an ATC Swap with a Fall Theme that I’m hosting in my ARTHaven Creations group…..it was fun making them and I knew I wanted to incorporated some of my leaves……so here’s what I came up with……

Isn’t it cute!!! I thought they all turned out adorable…I wanted something to make the ATC pop so I decided to put glitter on the moon…..I think it gave it just the right amount of pop!!!!  I had fun making it!!!!
So now….IF anyone is interested I’m going to share with you a few files I made for these pieces and some others I had made earlier in the week…..perhaps some might find them useful?????

Okie Dokie….That’s it for me for tonight….I SO hope you’ve enjoyed what I’ve shared and perhaps might find a use for a few of them?????  As always…THANK YOU so much for stopping by to visit with me……I do so hope you will come by again…and I would like to wish you all a VERY blessed week ahead!!!! Until next time….

Another Weekend Behind Us….

Hey Everyone….Me again….I hope you’ve all enjoyed a wonderful weekend….Mine has been very low key….but nice!!!  I actually created a card this weekend……believe it or not…LOL  And in the process created a few new cut files…….thought I would share them all with you here…and show you my card….I quite like it…..not lots of bling on it…but simple and warm I think……It’s for an upcoming swap in my ARTHaven group……the theme is Fall….I “think” I’ve achieved that…….

So….I created several files for this card……and thought I would share them all with you as well as the other leaf files I created……..I LOVE leaves…..You’ll find them all below….but I wanted to share with you a bit of how I achieved my fall leaf colors…….
I cut all of my leaves out of a green cardstock…then I hit the edges with some red, brown, grey, yellow and green chalk inks……then I drew some veins with my embossing stylus then took some of my Adirondack Color Wash Spritzers in Expresso and Butterstoch….then dried with my heat gun…..I love how realistic they look…..I did the same techniques to the borders I made…..and the edges of the paper….minus the spritzers……don’t you think the card reminds you of Fall????
For the “Thinking of You” I printed off with my Laser Printer in all black then ran through my Foil Master machine to apply bronze foil….then  hit the edges with chalk inks……The tree I cut out in cream color cardstock then used my Brown & Green Sharpies and then my blending Copic marker to help meld the colors together and lift some of the brown……I’m happy with how it came out……
OK….Now for all the files……WARNING….there are SEVERAL!!!

OKIE DOKIE….LOL…IF you made it this far with me…THANK YOU….Perhaps some of you might find some of these helpful!!!???   I know I had a lot of fun making them all!!!!
I would like to wish you all a VERY blessed week to come….Thank you as always…for coming by to visit with me…and I do so hope you will come by again!!!!  Until next time…..
