Hello Hello Again.....Hope this post finds you all doing well!!!  I'm excited to share my latest project with you!!!  As you may know by now I am.....
And I love this honor and having yet another reason to spend time with my big friend!! So this week I decided to work with the Embossing Tool that is made for the Silver Bullet Professional Cutter BUT....it also works for many other machines as well!!! How AWESOME are Sherri & Dawn for creating such versatile tools!!!!!! Here's more details about this little gem!!!

So......I'm sure you're thinking..."well Penny.....are you gonna show us or not...what you made?"....Yes....Yes I am......I created a video telling you more about the Embossing Tool the medium I'm using and how to prepare for embossing and creating a jig....and I walk you thought my brain process of how my piece came together.....so take a look and I'll be back with you in just a bit.....

Welllllllllllllllllllllll....Whatcha think???? Isn't it GORGEOUS....even if I do have to say so myself.....I am SO THRILLED that my vision I scribbled down on paper actually came together into what I was thinking.....I love it when that happens.....don't you??!!! ;)  Here's the still pics of it so you can get a closer look if you care to.....
Isn't the deep debossing esquisite!!!!  I'm SO IMPRESSED with how well it did......My Silver Bullet never ceases to amaze me I tell ya.......I'm also sharing a few more pics below just to give you different angles so you can see for yourself the quality of the embossing on both of the leathers!!!

So....I thought I would share with you the file I created to deboss this piece.......just in case any of you might want to try with your Embossing Tool if you have one....OR if you decide to jump over to Silver Bullet Cutters and get one for yourself!!!!  I definately think you won't regret it!!!

It's that time....Another Challenge for The Creative Pointe....SUMMER

Hello Hello Everyone....Hope you are all having a wonderful week!!!!  We're supposed to have a rainy weekend this weekend....but I look at the bright side thinking I get to spend it in my favorite place!!! My ARTHaven!! Right???!!!  And thankfully no bad weather!!!  Continuing to keep those hit so badly last week in my prayers!!!  How scary!!

So It's that time again...as the title says....Time for another awesome challenge for.....

This Challenge Theme is "SUMMER".......what a FUN theme huh??? I had ALOT of fun playing in this challenge....Cindy creates some cool files to work with........to create this card I used this file from her store....

And in addition I created 2 files to add to these to give my creation the finish touch and also used one of my old files.........I'll share those with you below..........So...wanna see how it turned out????  I think it's adorable!!! I'm showing several pictures cause of the dimension of the card.......it's hard to get the perfect angle in one shot....

See why it's so hard to show just one angle!!! LOL  I had SO MUCH FUN working with these files!!!!  I cut the picnic blanket out of 2 sheets of decorative paper from the DCWV Striped Raye stack   with my Silver Bullet Professional Cutter and SCAL4 Pro and glued them together.....the glass of lemonade I cut from clear plastic....the straw from 110# GP cardstock and the colored the "inside" of the glass with Spectrum Noir markers....glued together with Tombow Mono Liquid Glue which turned out kinda cool cause it helps to make it look like there's liquid in the glass.....the foam squares turned out to be an awesome add as it makes it look like there's "ice cubes" in the glass...FUN huh!!!!...So the picnic blanket and the glass of lemonade are files I created to complete the card......and the tree in the background is one of my old files....I'll share all three of them at the end of this post.....But isn't it cool how I ended up with the heart of the tree over the sun!! LOL  That was just happenstance...I didn't notice that until after I had the card finished...but love how it ended up!!

I also cut the "Picnic" out of the same card stack as the picnic blanket with my Silver Bullet Professional Cutter and SCAL4 Pro (you know....one awesome feature of the PRO version of SCAL4 is the ability to cut by color)....and distressed the edges with Distress Inks...Barn Door and Gathered Twigs....I also added Wink of Stella to the word......

The ants I cut from black Recollections cardstock with  my Silver Bullet Professional Cutter and SCAL4 Pro....and used my white Inkssentials gel pen to make the eyes then a bit of Glossy Accents over that...gives the eyes a raised affect.......Now the rest of the items...the hamburger, hotdog, ice cream cone and picnic basket I cut from white GP 110# cardstock and then colored them all with my Spectrum Noir Markers...had LOTS of FUN doing this....here's the entire range of Spectrum Noir Markers I used:

CT1, CT3, DR1, DR2, DR6, EB1, EB2, EB3, EB4, EB5, EB6, GB6, GB7, GB8, GB9, GB10, LG3 and LG5

I'm quite impressed with all of my coloring on these....to the hamburger bun I added some Matte Accents Inkssentials......for the base of the card I colored with an array of Distress Inks....these are the colors I used along with a touch of water from my spray bottle......

Scattered Straw, Stormy Sky, Tumbled Glass, Gathered Twigs, Mowed Lawn, Forrest Moss

Just an FYI.....you know the big thing right now is the new Distress Spray Bottle from Ranger with Tim's name on it....while it's cool...I just could not justify paying $5.00 for a plastic spray bottle so I went on a search....and I actually found a $.97 spray bottle from Walmart in the cleaning items section...you know...by the floor cleaning area......it sprays SUCH a nice mist of water.....check out the grass area of the card and you'll see what I mean.......Just thought I would share that.....

Ok....now for the phrase I stamped above the word Picnic I used 2 seperate stamps I had in my collection....sorry I can't tell you which sets they come from because I have all my stamps in individual ATC sleeves divided by theme.....but to stamp them I used a combination of Versafine Ink in Toffee and Black......

And that just about completes the card!!! So what do you think??? Do you like it??? I hope so.....SO...here's the files I created to finish off my creation....if you would like to snag these...please feel free....you can find them by clicking on the image below......

Okie Dokie Artichoke.....I think that finishes up this post!!!! Now don't forget to go over the The Creative Pointe Challenge Blog to participate and your chance to win!!!!!!!

As always.....THANK YOU so very much for spending a bit of your day with me!!! I so hope you were inspired in someway by the FUN I had in my ARTHaven!!! Sure hope you will stop by again.....Don't forget I'll have another blogpost/video for the Silver Bullet Professional Cutter and SCAL4 this Sunday.....hope you'll stop back by...Until then...I wish you all a very blessed week!!!!

A New Challenge over at TTCRD.....

Good Morning Everyone!!!! I hope you're all having a wonderful week thus far!!!

So....I'm excited to bring you a card I created for the new challenge over at Through The Craft Room Door's Challenge Blog....I'm on their Design Team so I was excited to work with an image from one of the digi stamp sponsers.........Little Claire Stamps

I had alot of fun with this card once I was set on my vision to create it.......This is my "recipe" of components I used to create it......

Paper - Colorbok Neutral Collection
Spectrum Noir Blending Pencils - 034, 114, 120, 103, 084, 040, 005, 067, 079, 113
Blending stump and Mineral Spirits
Fun Foam
Bakers Twine
Glue
Distress Inkpads - Gathered Twigs, Picked Raspberry
Handmade cat paw stamp - created with fun foam

You can see here....at least I hope you can.....I used Wink of Stella over the phrase then covered with Glossy Accents to make the center stand out......

See my handmade paw stamp I created........I thought it turned out cute....I just used some fun foam...cut out the ovalish shapes and put them on a thick piece of acetate with tacky glue.......then I used some double sided tape to stick the stamp to the acrylic block........works perfectly...and is reusable...
So I thought I would share some details of how I created the card.....

I brought the digi image into SCAL4Pro and traced it so I could create a shadow layer to cut out with my Silver Bullet Professional Cutter......worked perfectly!!!!

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir Blending Pencils....blending with a blending stump and Mineral Spirits....I know SN sells Gamsol to use with them....but Mineral Spirts works perfectly...and is very inexpensive......I must say I am really enjoying the blending pencils......

I used Distress Inks Gathered Twigs and Picked Raspberries around the edges of the digi image....then took my homemade paw stamp and stamped with pigment ink randomly around the edge of the card then used clear embossing powder to give the paws some texture.....

Then I cut funfoam for the black layer of cardstock, the cream layer and the digi image layer.....just a slight bit smaller then each of these layers......used my ATG gun to adhere the funfoam to the backs of each of these layers...then stacked and attached each layer on each other...this gives a nice solid lift to each layer.....

I then took some bakers twine and rolled it like a ball of yarn......adhered with my glue gun...wrapping around the cats tail at the bottom.....I also then make a box rather than an envie for the box to be given in.....I used SCAL4Pro to design and my Silver Bullet Professional Cutter to cut out the box.....makes it so each and perfect!!!!

And that's my card.....isn't it cute!!! ;)  I thought it turned out adorable....I think the paws and the"yarn" are my favorite parts on the card!!!!  So...Head on over to the TTCRD Challenge Blog and play along with us!!!!!

I would like to THANK YOU all for stopping by to visit with me.....I do hope you will stop by again...and I wish you all a very blessed week....Until next time!!

It's time for a Creative Pointe Challenge - Mother's Day

Happy Friday Everyone!!! I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful end to your week and looking forward to an awesome weekend!!!!!

I am SO PROUD to share with you that I am back on the Design Team for

Cindy is the owner and such a sweetheart!!!! So it's that time for the next challenge……This one is for the theme….Mother's Day!!!! And I used 2 cut files sets from Cindy's store…….I'll share them below………but here's my creation…….I LOVE how it turned out…….

Isn't it GORGEOUS!!!! The files from Cindy's store are WONDERFUL….I used the Mom Card file and the Teacup file…Links to these files are listed below….and I also used my PDC Grungy Rose file….which I'll also share below……It's been so long since I've made my handmade roses and I truly enjoyed it!!! Felt like coming home again!! ;) My Silver Bullet Professional Cutter and SCAL4 Pro and I had SUCH a wonderful time together and they both worked beautifully!!!!
For the card front I ran through my Ebosser and used the Swiss Dots embossing folder by Sizzix…then used some Tattered Rose Distress Ink and a distress sponge to hit the edges and then go over the dots to help them pop off the page more…..then went around the edges of the card with the Walnut Stain Distress Ink…..
To create the Mom layer on the card front cut the decorative layer from the paper stack from DCWV called The Dear Jane Stack…..#PS-005-00263 this is such a gorgeous stack…..then I also cut 4 additional of the Mom oval in white 110# Georgia Pacific cardstock and glued them together to building up the layers so the Mom is pretty thick…….so it would raise up off the surface of the card……I brushed the edges with my distress sponge and Walnut Stain Distress ink…….and then went over the word…MOM with my Wink of Stella clear pen….LOVE the shimmer!!!!!
I also cut the card front and the teacup layers as well as the PDC Grungy Rose pieces and ivy from the same paper stack as listed above……..I distressed the layers of the teacup with more of the Walnut Stain distress ink and my distress sponge……..
Now…for my PDC Grungy Roses I cut the layers and they were a white background with the green accents on them…..I pulled out my Spectrum Noir Blending Pencils and used the following colors to color the layers……
SN#'s 030, 031, 093, 036, 094, 105, 025 & 060

Then…rather than using Gamsol I used Mineral Spirits and a blending stump…..I LOVE how the SN Blending Pencils blend……I distressed the edges then with the Walnut Stain distress ink and the distress sponge…..then created my roses.....for anyone is interested…just a reminder I do have a video on my You Tube channel showing how I create them you're more than welcome to view…..once I had them made I then touched the edges with Wink of Stella to give a bit of shimmer…..LOVE LOVE LOVE…..
The inside layer is a decorative piece from the same stack and I again distressed the edges……The card base is some of the heavy 110# cardstock of the Recollection line from Michaels…this stuff makes AWESOME card bases and cuts beautifully with my Silver Bullet Professional Cutter……I found using the force of 130 and velocity of 800 worked wonderful for cutting this thick cardstock…
Now….If you liked my creation and might want to make one for the Mom's in your life….you can find the files at the links below……..

Okie Dokie Artichokie!!!! That's it for my DT Challenge card…..Do you like it???? I sure hope you do…I know I do…..I love how the roses and the Mom just sparkles and sparkles!!!! ;) It was really a fun card to make and I truly enjoyed using my Silver Bullet Professional Cutter and SCAL4 Pro together…..such an awesome combination!!! I'm looking forward to have a fun weekend in my ARTHaven!!!!!
